Welcome to National Charity League, Inc., Arrowhead Chapter!

Mission Statement

To foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development andcultural experiences.

About the Arrowhead Chapter

The Arrowhead Chapter began its journey in early 2006.  Lisa McMorrow and Debbi Blean independently contacted National about forming a new chapter in the Phoenix area on the west side.  Lisa McMorrow and her oldest daughter tried to join an established chapter in the Phoenix, Arizona area for two years.  Lisa noticed on National’s website contact information to start your own chapter, and immediately sent off a message.  A couple of months later, Debbi Blean contacted National as well after learning about the organization from friends who formed a chapter in Ahwatukee, Arizona.  Lisa and Debbi combined forces, and on May 21, 2006, an organizational meeting was held with over 25 interested women in attendance.  Arrowhead Prospective Chapter became official on May 30, 2006!!

The chapter would not be where we are now without our dedicated Founding Executive Board, some who have served for the first two years:  President, Lisa McMorrow; Ticktocker VP, Debbi Blean; Membership VP, Debra Immen; Philanthropy VP, Chris Terry; Patroness VP, Mindy Hansen; Communications VP, DeeDee Denton; Parliamentarian, Mary Ambriz-Reyes; Treasurer, Lisa Parrone/ Pat Yuen and Secretary, Deborah Vanderleest.

We are making history – not only are we a newly chartered chapter of National Charity League, but we are the only chapter on the west side of town.  The three main goals of National Charity League are community service, leadership development and cultural experience.  The possibilities to achieve these goals are endless.  We have an incredible opportunity to work with so many worthwhile causes, and there are unique educational and cultural experiences here as well. Feel free to look at the various philanthropies we work with in the philanthropy section.  We are excited because we know we can make a difference in the West Valley!

We want to emphasize that we are only as good as our members.  Since we are a volunteer organization, it takes all of us doing our part to keep this organization going.  It is also important to remember that NCL is more than just a “philanthropy” organization.  It is easy to get caught up in that one aspect but it is also about developing relationships with our daughters and other mothers, about teaching them leadership skills and infusing a little bit of culture and educational topics that are age appropriate.  These aspects are what make NCL Arrowhead so unique.
